Being in lockdown because of Covid-19 means we have had to become more creative in the way we interact with each other and manage our health and fitness. While I am a motivated person who enjoys getting out to exercise, I must say that I have been missing my running and walking companions and have started to find it hard to get out an about without the usual banter I get from being with others.
Today however, I decided when I went out on one of my walks that I would incorpoate my photograhy group theme of the week - "Nature". What a wonderful time of year it is to be a photographer and a walker, the colours of the leaves, the greens, reds and oranges of nature. The lucious flowers and growth of everything in mother natures sights is so amazing. It made my walking journey so pleasureable, to be able to stop and take in the Autumn treats.
Iinstead of my usual stride today, I slowed my walk, took my time, looked up and around. With so many things happening in the world at the moment, its so easy to forget to stop and look about. Especially after the brilliant summer we have had, you would think that things couldn't get better, but Autumn in New Zealand is certainly is a beautiful time of year to view the beauty of nature.
Next time you head out for a walk, stop along the way to pause, take a second to breathe. It will be worth it and you never know what glorious sights you may see.
