I've had a really bad cold and haven't been able to get out and about like I usually do. The weather has also been unseasonly cold for this time of year, plus I'm feeling quite lethargic from the cold. How do I get back out there - below are some tips that I use to get back into exercise and to get motivated.
Setting up a time to meet a friend, personal trainer or meeting up with a group of people is a great way to ensure I get out. I find it forces me to a set time to meet, plus I get the added benefit of catching up with someone I enjoy being with.
I find it easy to talk myself out of exercising, espcially if its cold and wet. What I do is trick my brain - I say - I'll just walk down the stairs or I'll walk to the corner and usually by just putting my gear on gets me going. Once I'm outside I always enjoy it.
The importance of exercise and eating right cannot be understated. I find as I get older that family is very important and I want to be around and see them grow and mature.
Plus I find getting outdoors is good for my soul and makes me smile on the inside.

Don't forget to give yourself a day off and find time to relax and rejuvenate. I like to have a day off once a week, I find that it not only revitalises my body but also my mind.
